Try it
Throughout the design process, I used different programs in order to determine the best tool kit for what I wanted to accomplish. For this particular exercise I used Proto.io to create the clickable prototype. Building the prototype was an exciting point in the design process because it starts to bring all the different design elements together to build your vision.
Minimum Viable Product
The prototype was designed based on the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) which are Login/Create an account, shop by category, customize shopping through preferences with the option to receive product recommendations (which will be sent to the user's Style Inbox), and display products.
The MVP was pared down to focus on buying. As a result, the design is comprised of three phases. Phase I allows the user to buy a product or service, search, and browse and shop by category. Phase II allows the user to customize their shopping preferences, receive product recommendations, and save items to their wishlist. Phase III will be designed for Sellers, allowing the user to create a store page to post and sell their items on the marketplace. The user tasks are based on Phase I and II.
The interactive elements of the prototype were used to test the user tasks.
