Developing Standards

This was actually the last decision in my design process because I wanted to test a light and dark color scheme. My first choice was a darker scheme given the bright colors and textures found in African fabrics and materials. After my mentor’s feedback about color schemes for online shopping sites, an A/B test seemed like the best method. The final decision ultimately relied on user’s reactions. All participants, Americans and Kenyans, chose the darker scheme, citing the contrast and unique color palette as the reason for their selection.
